#1.116: Movies and Kamari

Looking for belonging, young Ned (Jeremy Renner) falls in with a group of neo-Nazi skinheads and soon lands in a mental asylum after getting entangled in a racially driven homicide. But the arrival of a beautiful black woman (Gabrielle Union) -- who believes she's possessed by Adolf Hitler -- sets the stage for an unlikely romance and plants the seeds of Ned's redemption

A fugitive on the lam decides to crash a dinner party. But he seriously regrets it when the mysterious and unusual host soon has him convinced that he would have been better off hiding somewhere else.
Over dinner, Peter's (Liam Neeson) wife, Lisa (Laura Linney), essentially reveals that she's been cheating on him -- and then disappears the following day. Obsessed with learning the details, Peter tracks down Ralph (Antonio Banderas), Lisa's lover. Believing Ralph doesn't know who he is, Peter plays little games with him in an effort to quell his own despair.
Kamri came over around 8 o'clock. When he got here he was hungry so we fed him banana baby food. His parents should be picking him up between 11-12pm. The doctors said that he is mentally advanced for a 4 month old. My smart nephew! <3

#1.115: Ugh Ravens

Hmm...doesn't he look disappointed!? Well he should be! lol Even though I am not a big football fan, I couldn't believe that Cundiff screwed the game up...just that quick. I know that fans were mad, but if I was his teammate, I would be blown. How are you going to only go into the game a couple times and waste all the hard work I just put in for the past couple hours with one kick?!! I honestly kind of felt sorry for Cundiff. Imagine the things that people would be willing to do to him if they were true Raven's fans and were crazy? I was hoping that he would be safe.

#1.114: First Snow of 2012!

OMG!! It's about time! I was so excited to see this through the window. I have been asking for snow ever since Thanksgiving. Even though it snowed during the weekend, which means that it wouldn't cause any school to be disruppted, I'm glad that it came. I look forward to having more snow days. This is for two reasons: this is my last winter in Baltimore in high school, and that every missed school day I won't have to make up. Lets hope that we can use up all of our snow days seniors!

#1.113: NHS...and thermometer

I had a NHS meeting on Jan 20th. During the meeting, I began the drawing of the thermometer that will show how much money AVID seniors are getting from colleges. The meeting also introduced an event that the NHS will hopefully be hosting. I was able to joke around with my friends and minch on some snacks during the meeting. After the meeting was over, I went up to the AVID room to show Dona what I did so far so that she would stop hasseling me. lol

#1.112:

I honestly have nothing for today because nothing worth writing about happened...except for the fact that I woke up this morning!

#1.111: Homework ALL DAY! >:/

Today when I came home I...DID HOMEWORK 95% OF THE TIME UNTIL NOW! I don't usually take this much time to do my homework. What I mean by that is that I usually take a few breaks so that I can have a few fresh starts coming back to it. But today I went straight through the day doing homework except when I went walking at the track for 15 minutes. I am so drained right now! I just wanna crawl in my bed like a little baby and knock out. I just want to have the best longest sleep I have ever had at night. Thank God tomorrow is one day closer to the weekend! ^_^

#110: Parenthood..Oh Yea

Yesterday, my sister and I did our usual Tuesday routine, watch Parenthood. This was a really good episode. In this episode, Jasmine who is Crosby's ex and mother of his child, catches Crosby kissing a girl that uses an extra studio at his recording studio. Jasmine gets jealous because of what she saw and how well the girl treats their son.
Also in this episode, Zeek the family partiarch, gets disappointing news from the doctor, which causes him to get a mobile home without consulting his wife. Later in the show, Zeek tells his wife that he bought it so that they could travel around the country and help her make her dream come true. Her dream was to paint the many beautiful scenes that they would come across.
The only thing that disappointed me was that at the end of the episode, they did not show a preview of the episode for next week. I don't know if that means that there is not an episode for next week, but I hope that's not the situation.

#1.109: What?!....Pretty Little Liars!

Monday has been a great day. I started off the day by sleeping in. Felt amazing. I then got up and began to do some homework. I did that until the early evening. Then I studied with Jordan for our EPI test tomorrow for about a hour. When we were done and she was gone, I went into the living room and saw that my mother was watching a new episode of Pretty Little Liars. I got so excited and sat my little self down. After that episode I went to go fix my plate for dinner and sat back down to watch the next episode. I was very pleased with both episodes and can't wait to see the next one next week. I also can't wait to see my other show, Parenthood, tomorrow. M m m...these shows are entertaining. I just wish that my other show was on too. I have been going through Rookie Blue withdraw! Ugh..

#1.108: Kamari sleepover

On Sunday, we had Kamari for the day. Then the day turned into night, so the little monkey spent the night. While he was awake, I would lay him on his back because he likes to talk when he's in that position. This time was a little different. He would start off by talking, but then turn to screaming. He was screaming as in crying, he would just be literally screaming. My sister and I were trying to watch Kevin Hart: Laugh at my Pain on TV, but this little monkey would not stop unless someone got in his face. So a couple times when he would start screaming I would go over to him in his face a start rubbing the sides of his face. He would then give me this weird face as if he liked it but didn't know what I was doing. He is growing up so fast, so I can only imagine what I will miss when I go off to college. :-(

#1.107: Just chillin

On Saturday, I pretty much chilled all day. I hung out with my family the whole day. In this picture is my mom and Kamari staring at each other. You can also see my calculus textbook in the background. I did do some of my work over there as well.
While I was over there, I got a chance to see Kamari eat some baby food. He likes sweet potaotes and carrots, but does not like string beans. His face was hilarious. A baby's face is very honest.

#1.106: Head start on Calc Homework

Let me tell ya...I am on track when it comes to Calculus! Hopkins gave us a super large amount of homework on Thursday. I did about half of it thursday night. When we started class on Friday, he helped us with several hard problems then gave us the rest of class to work on the homework. Needless to say, I finished a lot of my homwork before the weekend even started! I hope that he is not bluffing about putting this homework on our grades because I need all the grades I can get to pass this class. I will check my edline in a few to see if he kept his word and where my grade stands before report cards come out.

#1.105: Finish All Applications!!

The last part of finishing my applications was to send my transcript to Salisbury University. I finished that on Thursday. Therefore, I am officially finished all of my college applications! I actually had a great time doing my college stuff because I did not receive any rejection letters. I have no idea what a rejection letter looks like, feels like, or even what it starts with. I am so glad that I took control of my college applications early because I have friends that are still applying to their main schools.
The next part is to apply to scholarships and see what's going to happen with my soccer situation. I have no idea where I am going to college right now because my situation could push me to Converse or Salisbury. To be honest, I could care less about which one I go to because there are pros to both colleges.

#1.104: Filling out Scholarship

Yesterday, I started the application for this scholarship.
This scholarship is for $100,000 over the four years in college.
The application for the scholarship had a section where you could explain unexpected circumstances. This is what I wrote for that section:

In the past several months, I have been healing from a severe concussion that was caused by a head collision in the first soccer game of the 2012 season. This concussion has made it extremely difficult for me to continue my excellence academically and athletically. During this past summer I visited what is now my 1st college choice. After meeting the soccer coach and seeing the campus, I began the recruiting process. Because of this concussion, my dreams of playing soccer at my 1st college choice may not come true. During my healing process, I have had to still keep up with the deadlines for applying to college even though the concussion makes it almost impossible to completely write an effective essay. This concussion has slowed down every single action that I would take to improve my achievement in school and in my community. Although this injury has crushed my heart and dreams, I refuse to give up on everything that I have worked so hard for.

#1.102: Crazy madness @ Alumni Game

On Saturday, I participated in the preperations for the annual Alumni Game. I enjoyed the game, but I did not think that the actions caused by the alumni was acceptable. It is because of them that the future of alumni games for New Town may be ruined. It was so stupid that grown men and women came back to high school to fight some other person. Like, how old are you? Do you not have anything better to do?

After the Alumni Game, I went out to eat with some friends. I definitely enjoyed myself there. I ordered the Banzai Burger. I only ate most of the half of the burger because I ate a chicken box at the game. When I got home I was so tired, but kind of forced myself to stay up so that I could spend some time with my family.

The fight just made it even clearer that I need to get out of New Town. I have a serious case of SENIORITIS!! My senioritis is not that much work related, it is the itch to get out of the Baltimore County Public School System! I am so tired of being automatically treated like a child because I am in an ignorant school environment. I'm also tired of these teachers that think that they can do whatever just because they are the teacher. And then some teachers have the nerve to give me busy work even though their class is a joke. I know for a fact that I could do a better job teaching this particular class better than this teacher. Ugh...I'm so ready for college already! Been in BCPS and Maryland too long!!

#1.101: My beginning!

This is the house that I spent my first 2 and a half years in. I have never seen this house in real life, but only in home movies. I saw the town house when my father and I went to pick up my sister from her job.
The home video that this house is featured in is hilarious. In the video, I am in a dress for church. I am outside with my sister and my father. I keep saying "keys" to my father because I want to unlock my aunt's car. The thing is that the car is not my aunt's car, it is a car that looks like my aunt's car. So my father gives me the keys and I go over to the car and when I'm about to put the key in the door, my father says "No" and I'm like "auntie's car!". The funny thing about the video is that when I was younger I had a raspy voice. My family says that my voice was like that because I was constantly screaming (crying) when I was a baby. They say that my cry piercing! So my brother and sister say that I used to smoke as a baby, which is why my voice sounded like a old smoker's voice.
My family also tells me that I wouldn't stop crying until I was in my mother's arms. This is interesting because I am a daddy's girl. Out of my sister and I, I am most like my father and my sister is more like my mother.

#1.100: My Toast for Change 2012

My toast for change in 2012 is to be happy no matter what. I chose this for my change because in 2011 I had a lot of things that took my joy away. When you don't have joy, everything seems harder than it actually is.
I want to be happy no matter what so that I can realize all the situations will work out for my benefit. I know that when times are hard, we tend to focus on the things that we don't have or the things we can't do. But when you focus on letting things go, your joy returns and causes you to be thankful for the blessings you have already been given.

#1.99: Lol Kamari

This picture is too funny. My sister-in-law put this picture on her facebook wall and the description said "Go to sleep smh". I just had to put this picture up because he is so cute!

#1.98: AP Calc Test!!! WOO HOO!!

OMG! This is the grade that I got on my last AP Calculus test. I was too excited when I saw this percent. I have never gotten a grade like this in AP Calculus on a test. I actually think that this is my first or second passing grade on a test in that class. This is a serious motivator for me to continue in pushing myself to be the best I can be at this time. This grade is also showing me that math is just one of things that I understand even at difficult levels. Unlike english and history classes, math and science come easier to me. As long as it is explained in a way that I can make my own understanding of how to complete a problem, I can go all day doing math and science. I mean how else would I be able to get an A on an AP Calculus test and have an A+ in AP Chemistry? I am so looking forward to how the rest of the year will go for me in AP Calculus and AP Chemistry!

#1.97: Blown! WTF (freak) Amazon?!

NO!!                                                                                      YES!!

Both of these mp3's I saw on amazon.com. The one on the right, I like more than the one on the left. I used my Visa gift card to buy from amazon. I just got an email saying that the mp3 player on the right has been shipped. What!? I was not sure how to use the gift card on amazon, so my money did not go through the correct way, which is why I went back to look for a different mp3 player. I found the one on the right and decided that I should buy that one instead. But for some crazy reason amazon put in the order for the one on the left. I'm blown! Ugh...I will wait til the mp3 player gets here and scream at it. JK. Depending on how much I like the mp3 player sent, I will choose whether or not it is worth it to buy the other one. If it is worth it to buy the one on the right, then I will give my current mp3 player and the one on the left to some people. Very lucky people. Lol.

#1.96: Crazy Movie!!!

Yesterday I watched this movie with my mother and my sister. I advise everyone that likes revenge movies to see this!! This movie is awesome. For those of you who don't know what a revenge movie is, let me explain it to you. Revenge movies are movies where the main character goes through tragedies that affect him/her directly. This usually means that the beginning of the movie is sad and depressing, but then that person grows some balls and goes crazy in the head. This causes the main character to bring hell to the people that harmed them. The reason that this movie was so good at this is because the main character fights back against 6 full grown men even though she is a skinny young woman in the middle of an extremely small town.

#1.95: New Year!!

I brought in the new year rocking my nephew Kamari to sleep. In the afternoon of 1-1-12, I bought a couple things online with my Visa gift card. Late in the afternoon, I transformed my room. I moved almost every single piece of furniture. I like rearranging things because I get bored kind of quick with how something is put together. This took a lot of time because I worked in cleaning during the process. I had college mail everywhere! After my several hours of interior designing, I started to smell a burning smell coming from downstairs. Once I came around to actually go downstairs, I saw my father in the car leaving. I asked my sister what happened. She told me that my father burned dinner because he was watching the Raven's game. Lol. She also said that he was leaving to go get pizza. When we started eating, we turned to Shrek. It was hilarious because all of us were laughing our butts off to the movie.

#1.94: Straw Dogs....Hmmm

The only interesting thing that happened on the 31st was when it came time to watch a movie. It was around midnight and the people I was hanging out with wanted to go to RedBox to choose a couple movies to watch. To make a long story short, I ended up driving my friend's car with his girlfriend. They are all older than me so she kept saying that she was scared to drive with me, when actually I am a much safer driver than her. We chose to rent Straw Dogs, Warrior, and Priest. I only stayed up long enough to watch Straw Dogs. All of us were disappointed with Straw Dogs because the trailer made the movie look a lot better than what it turned out to be. There were several important things that were not explained in the movie, which made it difficult to understand why certain things happened. Also, there were a few main characters that were stupid. I don't like stupid people in movies!

#1.93: Chillin'

I spent the beginning of the 30th in Shoppers. My brother and sister-in-law went grocery shopping for their house, her parents, and her brothers. It was kind of like a gift for everyone. We were there for a good while. By the time we got to the register, the cart was overflowing and it costed $310. One thing that happened that was funny was that my brother was calculating how much everything costed so that they could have the total before they went to the register. Unfortunately, his phone kept on erasing the amount, which meant that we would have to back track. So I got the great idea to keep count myself on my phone because my phone isn't touch screen, making it easier to keep count. During our journey in Shoppers, I became extra thirsty! Because of this, we bought some fruit drinks. The bottles were quite large. I was staring at my bottle the whole time we were in the line. When we were waiting for my brother to bring the car to where the cart was, I took my drink to the head! I was chuggin' nice and slow. Lol. The drink had no chance.

#1.92: Church New Years Service

On the 29th, my church had our New Years service. It was a really nice service. I had a little break down because my 2011 had a lot of twists and turns. I made my New Years resolution to be happy even if my circumstances look the oppposite way. I decided to choose this resolution because when you are going through something difficult, you tend to forget how fortunate you are. For example, I was always mad and sad about that fact that I couldn't play soccer, get good grades, and have as much fun as I wanted. Due to all of this, I forgot that I had the support of a loving family and church. I also forgot that this concussion could be a lot worse. People have died from concussions before, but I'm still living and progressing. I want to make the most of 2012! I plan on working on this as soon as possible.

#1.91: Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

On the 28th, I spent the whole day with my sister, brother, and sister-in-law. The main events of the day were:
1. Visiting church member that just had a baby
2. Going to Outback for dinner
3. Go to the movies

All of these things made for a perfect evening. The baby, Dylan, is Kamari's God brother. It was really new for us to see a baby that small because Kamari was a big baby. Dylan is so cute and tiny! He was premature, but he was 6lbs.
Outback was great because I ordered a steak and mashed potatoes. I haven't had steak in a long time and the steak then was not from a steakhouse. I was so pleasantly full once I was done eating.
Once we left Outback, we made our way over to the movie theater to watch The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. This movie was awesome!! The movie was little weird, but it made sense by the end of the movie. I wish the movie was appropriate for school because that would keep our attention due to the plot. The movie was kind of sad as well, but nonetheless I enjoyed it.

#1.90: God Mother Irene

On the 27th I hung out with my mom and my sister during the day. We were buying stuff from a few places. There were crazy deals in certain places. I got about 6 things from Bath and Body Works for only $6. Later in the afternoon, I went out with my God mother, Irene, and her husband. We went to Olive Branch for dinner. I ordered lasagna, but the appetizer and garlic bread filled me up so much that I barely ate any of the lasagna. I immediately asked for a box to go because none of that lasagna was going in my stomach that night. After we finished eating but still in the booth at Olive Branch, we talked for a while about how to do several things on their phones and their website. You know how it is when older people ask young people for help with electronics. So we went back to their house so that I could show them what I was talking about. While at their house, I was given a few things. I was given a Visa gift card and a stethoscope! I have been wanting a stethoscope ever since my last birthday. It is brand new. Before we left so that they could take me home, I asked to borrow 2 of their DVDs. I have been watching those DVDs ever since that night. Lol.
