#1.149: Kamari's Easter Best

I absolutely love this outfit! That tie is so freakin' cute...especially on him. He is the sharpest 6month old I have ever seen. I know you can't see them in the picture, but he has on really cute cream paten leather dress shoes. I wish he was smiling in this picture because when he would smile while wearing that outfit...it was too much. One thing that happened during this day with him was my mother passed him to me and as soon as she did, I could smell him. I tried really hard to get his mother to change him but she kept saying how its soooo special for the aunt to change their nephew. Lol. I was stuck with the deed so I went on. I was so nervous because I did not want to mess up that cream suit. I was so greatful that he wasn't being difficult. New Kamari news is that he can crawl now! Yay!

#1.148: On 4 wheels once again!

I should give you some background info before I get into the main story. When I was in the 6th grade, I broke my wrist while I was at a skating rink for a friend's birthday party. I never broke anything befre or after that incident. I was so terrified of skating again. Nick would always ask me to go skating with him, but due to my fear of hurting myself I would decline. My father's motorcycle group had a skating fundraiser and I decided to go and I brought Nick along. After about 2-3 rounds of the rink, I began to get the hang of it again. Then I started to go faster and smoother. Oh yea, my father is a pro at skating so seeing him whip around the rink amazes me and gives me encouragement to keep trying because I would love to one day be as good as he is.

#1.147: Got Some MUSIC!

I think I told you all about how I lost my mp3 player. I worked a deal with a man down the street...just kidding. My friend from school has an iPhone and doesn't use her iPod anymore. I told her what happened and she sold it to me during spring break. As soon as I got home I put my music on it. I was so happy that I was able to get back to my regular music listening self. It was literally the highlight of my spring break. I'm thinking of getting a green case because as you can see, it's pinked out all over. I <3 Music!

#1.146: Another Cold Day Outside!

So here we ago again...freezing track meets. This is Iyin again actually. I asked her to take another picture because the first one was rather interesting due to her attire. She had on a white beenie this time instead of a gray one that made her look a little homeless. She was in the transition f taking a nap since her even t wasn't til later. This track meet was very cold, which is why the blankets are in the picture. This meet also took FOREVER!! I didn't get home until about 9:30pm. That pretty much meant that I had no time to do work. Even though it was cold and long, I enjoyed myself.

#1.145: Cold Day Outside

I have no idea why she is making this face but this is Iyin during our track meet today. It was really cold, especially towards the end of the meet! My big toes started to go numb and my hands got extra skinny. It couldn't go by fast enough. To top it all off, we had to stay later than everyone else because we had to clean up then take off our uniforms because they have to collect them after each meet.

Because it was so cold, my time for the 200m was not pleasing to my ears. I really hope that I never have a cold meet like that again.

#1.144: 2nd Track meet Tragedy!!

I lost my mp3 player during my track meet today. I was extremely upset for a long time, but I am okay now. I started thinking about how I can let things go that are much bigger than losing a mp3 player, which made me get over it. Yea I am disappointed but I know that this happened for a reason and hopefully I won't be without a music player for long.

#1.143: Kamari Video

PLEASE DISREGARD THE BACKGROUND CONVERSATION..LOL

This video was taken this past weekend while I was hanging at his parent's house. I thought it was so cute because he would play with the telephone and then do his little back and forth motion. Lol. And plus he looked at the camera and smiled. I should make more videos and put them on here so that I don't have to explain everything that was going on when I watch him.

#1.142: Fluffy Puppy

These are my little babies. The one in the front is Zee and the one on the back is Ringo. They were both having some stomach problems, which is why they are tied up to the banister. I was given the task of having to trim Zee's fur. Omg it took forever (a couple hours). The funny thing was that I came home from school and his face was already trimmed. This made his body look extra fluffy and fat. In the picture you can't really see what I'm talking about, but it looked so crazy that I was just like I can't have my baby going outside looking like that. I don't have an after picture, but he looks a lot better now.

#1.141: Liz and her AFRO!

This picture is really late. I took this picture before the Black History Assembly. The afro is the one the Mr.Hopkins wore in order to resemble Don Cornelius from Soul Train.

She looks so funny in this picture! She looks like she is trying to resemble a crazy person that just found the wig somewhere. Lol. Good times...

#1.139: Kamari is 6mos already!!

On March 12, Kamari turned 6 months old. He has grown so much and shown us a lot of things as well. So far he has leanred how to say DaDa, reach for people, hold the spoon when someone is feeding him, hit people, and roll over. Just recently on Sunday we also observed him humping the floor in attempt to crawl. Lol. I can't wait til he starts crawling and walking and running. He is still sooo cute.

#1.138: Rain Stick

This is a rain stick. I recognized it from my band days in middle school. When you flip it upside down it makes a sound of rain falling. I found it outside when I was helping a family friend move. It was sticking out of the slinder box that it was shipped in. The thing is that it didn't belong to the people I know. It actually belonged to the next door neighbor that recently moved and she was into arts and crafts. Sounds kind of creepy but I couldn't resist picking up a work of art that was just going to be thrown in the trash.

#1.137: Oh Yea..Big TV

This was a definite upgrade. My father and I took a TV that was just sitting around at his job and put it in my room! (he was the one that brought it to his job, so we didn't take something that wasn't ours) So now I can watch movies how they were meant to be watched! I am going to wear this TV and my DVD player out. I even personalized the TV with my name and a sombraro. Lol.

#1.136: Stupid titration lab!

This liquid looks real pretty doesn't it? Well during the titration lab, this is the last thing we want to see. This means that we didn't do the right thing. This also means that you have to start all over again! Ugh...titration labs are only fun when you do them correctly. Making it even worse, my lab group and I can never get the right levels and color the first time. So lets just say that we are used to the agony of titration labs.

#1.135: Interesting...but great!

On Saturday, my parents and I supported my sister by attending the play she was casted in. I can't really describe the main message behind the play. I was really impressed with the actual acting abilities of the small cast, which is what I think made it even better. There were only eight people as the cast of an almost 2 hour production. Even though some parts were a little weird, it was an overall great show. I would like to watch it again if it ever went back on stage.

#1.134: Finally a 3rd

I finally got 3 balls! I have been trying to find a group of 3 tennis balls so that I could practice my juggling. I always had 2 and could never find a third. But then I took a trip to the tennis practice to hang out with friends, and I took advantage of the surplus tennis balls. I was practicing juggling the whole time I was waiting for my ride, it was a while. I want to become a pro!

#1.133: Back @ it

Look at that...good old SWEAT!! It's been a long time since I broke a sweat playing soccer. I had my first soccer practice with my club soccer team. I was nervous about what everybody would think about how I was playing since they weren't informed about my past injury. I did better than I thought I would, except for the fact that I was falling more than normal. I am so excited about getting back to my soccer lifestyle!

#1.132: Explosive Chem. Lab

This lab that we did in AP Chemistry was one of the best labs that I have ever done. We started the lab by putting a chemical in powder form at the bottom of the test tube. We heated the test tube with the cone of the bunsen burner. Once we saw  that the powder was in liquid form and bubbling, we would drop a candy such as a sour patch kid, skittle, M&M, or gummy bear in the bottom of the test tube. We would remove the heat source and observe the colorful and smoking explosion in the bottom of the test tube. The different candies would make the explosion a certain color and intensity.

#1.131: Ugh...Be done already!

OMG...I have got it BAD! I get so irritated when I notice that I'm still in high school. I just can't believe that I am still being treated like a little kid. I'm ready to get my life started...like now! Why am I taking these useless classes that have nothing to do with what I want to major in? And why are these classes giving me the most grief!? Let me tell you...I am trying my best to push through and stay patient, but I'm seriously being tested. Even though some classes and teachers are blowing me, I am definitely going to miss my friends and certain teachers. The daily sight of people that can make me laugh kind of makes it worth it to wake up and come to school everyday. I hope that I can have as much fun with my friends as soon as we get out of school...and who knows what type of mayhem may occur during the summer. ;-P

#1.130: Childhood Memory!!

This show in on HBO. I remember watching this show with my brother and sister whenever it came on. You know how when you watch a TV show that you used to watch when you were younger while you are older, how crazy the show sounds. Like when my sister and I watched this a couple weeks ago, we were looking at each other like why is this a show for children? Even though it was a little crazy, it was very educational and funny.

#1.129: Things Changed

Well I think that it is official that I am going to Salisbury University. Things didn't really work out at Converse College. This situation is interesting because just like this college confusion, my high school destination was made at the last minute. I ended up going to New Town even though my heart was set on Western Tech. I assume that it was my purpose to come to New Town, even though I thought that Western would prepare me better for a Biology major in college. I have no idea which college would prepare me more for medical school, but I think that this is God's way of telling me what's best. Therefore, I need to change my blog name.

#1.128: Mr.Fat Fat

Lol This is Kamari when he was taking a bath this weekend. I had to take a picture because he had his little hand on his belly like some old man. Of course I had to crop the picture so I didn't get charged with child pronography. He is just sitting there watching TV while chilling in the water. He is so cute when he is in the tub because he is always splashing water everywhere and pulling the shampoo into the baby tub. <3

#1.127: Goofin'

This is what you call goofin' around in AP Calculus. This picture is of Liz, Ericka, and I while we were doing problems on the board in class. Well technically we weren't doing problems in the picture, but you get what I'm saying. I can actually say that I usually enjoy AP Calculus class. I would have this class over any history or english class...anyday!

#1.126: One Step Closer to Gaduation!!

Oh Yea! I finally got my cap and gown! 2012 and goldlooks so good on me. I felt so good trying it on. I think I kept it on for like half an hour. I can't wait til I'm walking in that big auditorium with chords hanging around my neck and having the tassel swinging in my face. I'm too HYPE and READY!

#1.125: Proud Aunt

I know the picture is hard to see, but I thought it was so cute b/c I was sitting next to Kamari in his car seat while we were going somewhere. He was holding my hand to his chest and feel asleep while laying on my arm. I had an awwwww moment! He is growing so fast....I hope I don't miss too much by being at college. :-(

#1.124: Smart Kamari

This is Kamari before church started. Me and his mother was talking about how he was almost getting the hang of holding his bottle but couln't quite do it. Then all of a sudden when she was putting the bottle to his mouth, he grabbed it. We were so excited and I had to take a picture quick b/c before we knew it he dropped it. We were both like "really!?"...you want to drop it once we have everybody looking? Lol. He is funny.

#1.123: Yum Salad

This salad was really good. It was so fresh. It had:
-kale
-chopped beats (ew)
-craisins
-cheddar cheese
-chopped carrots (ew)
-italian dressing

#1.122: Treble Heart

I did this drawing a little while ago. I can't remember if I was bored or if I had one of my random inspirations to draw. It's funny b/c I can't usually create good pieces of artwork if it's an assignment, but when I'm bored or have the urge to draw...it's usually awesome. I asked some of my friends and family if they liked the drawing. Most said they liked it, but then some said it looked creepy. Lol. I really wanted to color the heart a light red, but everybody said to leave it blank. I like it.

#1.121: Cool Chemistry Lab

Of course I can't remember what these substances were, but all I know is that this is cool. The substance on the top is less dense than the substance on the bottom. My crazy self after taking this picture shook it up, thinking that it would separate again...Wrong! lol I really wanted it to act like oil and water, but I guess not.

#1.120: Knot to Cleared!

This picture is of me once the game that I was hit was over. Right after I was hit, this knot was even larger. Thinking about what I was feeling, hearing, and thinking when I was laying on the ground after being hit goes through my mind sometimes. I can't believe how long it took me to recover, but I'm glad it's over now. I have been officially cleared by my doctor to play sports again. I am going to get right back into it stronger than ever!

#1.119: Accepted to Salisbury University!!

My last response to my college applications! The college application/ acceptance process is officially over. I really liked Salisbury during the college road trip that we took last year or the year before that. I am now just waiting to see how much $ I get from them. Their tuition+room+board= $16,018...this is great since I'm in state. It would be amazing if I received a scholarship close to a full ride. If I did, I would definitely be going there.

#1.118: Back In The Day...only 2yrs ago!

This picture is of my hair when I first got my locs done. Look at my hang time then compared to now. Wow...such a transformation. In those days I couldn't even put my hair in a pony-tail. This was like the only style that I could pull off, but now it's soo different. I can do so much with my hair now. I can't wait til like 3-4yrs from now because my hair is going to be dumb long. I'm going to be whipping it around ALL the time! ;-P

#1.117: Chemistry Attempt @ Soap

In chemistry we had a lab where the objective was to make soap like people did back in the day. This first picture is my group burning paper...lots of paper! We did this so that we could get a good amount of ashes.
This picture is of the mixture (ashes+mineral oil) that was supposed to make soap. After it was thoroughly mixed, we moved it to a little plastic container. While it was in the container, Justin and I burned a candle over it so that the wax would make the mixture thicker. The experiment didn't work. Mrs.Upshur-Dudley said that we should've used lard instead of mineral oil.

#1.116: Movies and Kamari

Looking for belonging, young Ned (Jeremy Renner) falls in with a group of neo-Nazi skinheads and soon lands in a mental asylum after getting entangled in a racially driven homicide. But the arrival of a beautiful black woman (Gabrielle Union) -- who believes she's possessed by Adolf Hitler -- sets the stage for an unlikely romance and plants the seeds of Ned's redemption

A fugitive on the lam decides to crash a dinner party. But he seriously regrets it when the mysterious and unusual host soon has him convinced that he would have been better off hiding somewhere else.
Over dinner, Peter's (Liam Neeson) wife, Lisa (Laura Linney), essentially reveals that she's been cheating on him -- and then disappears the following day. Obsessed with learning the details, Peter tracks down Ralph (Antonio Banderas), Lisa's lover. Believing Ralph doesn't know who he is, Peter plays little games with him in an effort to quell his own despair.
Kamri came over around 8 o'clock. When he got here he was hungry so we fed him banana baby food. His parents should be picking him up between 11-12pm. The doctors said that he is mentally advanced for a 4 month old. My smart nephew! <3

#1.115: Ugh Ravens

Hmm...doesn't he look disappointed!? Well he should be! lol Even though I am not a big football fan, I couldn't believe that Cundiff screwed the game up...just that quick. I know that fans were mad, but if I was his teammate, I would be blown. How are you going to only go into the game a couple times and waste all the hard work I just put in for the past couple hours with one kick?!! I honestly kind of felt sorry for Cundiff. Imagine the things that people would be willing to do to him if they were true Raven's fans and were crazy? I was hoping that he would be safe.

#1.114: First Snow of 2012!

OMG!! It's about time! I was so excited to see this through the window. I have been asking for snow ever since Thanksgiving. Even though it snowed during the weekend, which means that it wouldn't cause any school to be disruppted, I'm glad that it came. I look forward to having more snow days. This is for two reasons: this is my last winter in Baltimore in high school, and that every missed school day I won't have to make up. Lets hope that we can use up all of our snow days seniors!

#1.113: NHS...and thermometer

I had a NHS meeting on Jan 20th. During the meeting, I began the drawing of the thermometer that will show how much money AVID seniors are getting from colleges. The meeting also introduced an event that the NHS will hopefully be hosting. I was able to joke around with my friends and minch on some snacks during the meeting. After the meeting was over, I went up to the AVID room to show Dona what I did so far so that she would stop hasseling me. lol

#1.112:

I honestly have nothing for today because nothing worth writing about happened...except for the fact that I woke up this morning!

#1.111: Homework ALL DAY! >:/

Today when I came home I...DID HOMEWORK 95% OF THE TIME UNTIL NOW! I don't usually take this much time to do my homework. What I mean by that is that I usually take a few breaks so that I can have a few fresh starts coming back to it. But today I went straight through the day doing homework except when I went walking at the track for 15 minutes. I am so drained right now! I just wanna crawl in my bed like a little baby and knock out. I just want to have the best longest sleep I have ever had at night. Thank God tomorrow is one day closer to the weekend! ^_^

#110: Parenthood..Oh Yea

Yesterday, my sister and I did our usual Tuesday routine, watch Parenthood. This was a really good episode. In this episode, Jasmine who is Crosby's ex and mother of his child, catches Crosby kissing a girl that uses an extra studio at his recording studio. Jasmine gets jealous because of what she saw and how well the girl treats their son.
Also in this episode, Zeek the family partiarch, gets disappointing news from the doctor, which causes him to get a mobile home without consulting his wife. Later in the show, Zeek tells his wife that he bought it so that they could travel around the country and help her make her dream come true. Her dream was to paint the many beautiful scenes that they would come across.
The only thing that disappointed me was that at the end of the episode, they did not show a preview of the episode for next week. I don't know if that means that there is not an episode for next week, but I hope that's not the situation.

#1.109: What?!....Pretty Little Liars!

Monday has been a great day. I started off the day by sleeping in. Felt amazing. I then got up and began to do some homework. I did that until the early evening. Then I studied with Jordan for our EPI test tomorrow for about a hour. When we were done and she was gone, I went into the living room and saw that my mother was watching a new episode of Pretty Little Liars. I got so excited and sat my little self down. After that episode I went to go fix my plate for dinner and sat back down to watch the next episode. I was very pleased with both episodes and can't wait to see the next one next week. I also can't wait to see my other show, Parenthood, tomorrow. M m m...these shows are entertaining. I just wish that my other show was on too. I have been going through Rookie Blue withdraw! Ugh..

#1.108: Kamari sleepover

On Sunday, we had Kamari for the day. Then the day turned into night, so the little monkey spent the night. While he was awake, I would lay him on his back because he likes to talk when he's in that position. This time was a little different. He would start off by talking, but then turn to screaming. He was screaming as in crying, he would just be literally screaming. My sister and I were trying to watch Kevin Hart: Laugh at my Pain on TV, but this little monkey would not stop unless someone got in his face. So a couple times when he would start screaming I would go over to him in his face a start rubbing the sides of his face. He would then give me this weird face as if he liked it but didn't know what I was doing. He is growing up so fast, so I can only imagine what I will miss when I go off to college. :-(

#1.107: Just chillin

On Saturday, I pretty much chilled all day. I hung out with my family the whole day. In this picture is my mom and Kamari staring at each other. You can also see my calculus textbook in the background. I did do some of my work over there as well.
While I was over there, I got a chance to see Kamari eat some baby food. He likes sweet potaotes and carrots, but does not like string beans. His face was hilarious. A baby's face is very honest.

#1.106: Head start on Calc Homework

Let me tell ya...I am on track when it comes to Calculus! Hopkins gave us a super large amount of homework on Thursday. I did about half of it thursday night. When we started class on Friday, he helped us with several hard problems then gave us the rest of class to work on the homework. Needless to say, I finished a lot of my homwork before the weekend even started! I hope that he is not bluffing about putting this homework on our grades because I need all the grades I can get to pass this class. I will check my edline in a few to see if he kept his word and where my grade stands before report cards come out.

#1.105: Finish All Applications!!

The last part of finishing my applications was to send my transcript to Salisbury University. I finished that on Thursday. Therefore, I am officially finished all of my college applications! I actually had a great time doing my college stuff because I did not receive any rejection letters. I have no idea what a rejection letter looks like, feels like, or even what it starts with. I am so glad that I took control of my college applications early because I have friends that are still applying to their main schools.
The next part is to apply to scholarships and see what's going to happen with my soccer situation. I have no idea where I am going to college right now because my situation could push me to Converse or Salisbury. To be honest, I could care less about which one I go to because there are pros to both colleges.
